Packaging and print design for AquaBliss, a premium shower filter positioned closer to a luxury wellness product than conventional home equipment. The design combines matte surfaces with selective UV coating, allowing material, light, and texture to communicate quality before the package is even opened.
Project Overview
AquaBliss required a premium packaging solution that reflected the product’s positioning within the personal wellness market rather than the traditional home improvement category.
The objective was to create a visual identity that emphasized quality, refinement, and trust while extending seamlessly across both the retail packaging and the accompanying user manual.
Inspiration & Concept
The concept was inspired by the relationship between water, light, and polished metal.
Rather than relying solely on graphics, the design uses print finishes as an active part of the visual language. Selective UV coating highlights the metallic elements of the product against a deep matte background, creating subtle changes in reflection as the package moves through light. Water becomes a recurring visual motif, reinforcing both the product’s function and its premium character.
The result is packaging that communicates quality through both appearance and touch.
Design Solution
The visual system combines restrained typography, high-contrast photography, and carefully considered print production techniques to create a sophisticated retail experience.
Selective UV coating draws attention to the polished chrome surfaces, while the matte substrate provides depth and tactile contrast. The same design language extends into the instruction manual, transforming technical documentation into a cohesive brand experience rather than an afterthought.
The final solution demonstrates how material choices and finishing techniques can become an integral part of premium packaging design.
