Packaging design and custom botanical illustrations for NaturOils USA, an eco-friendly skincare brand. Hand-painted watercolor artwork was created for each product to celebrate its natural ingredients and give the collection a fresh, authentic, and distinctive visual identity.
Project Overview
NaturOils USA is a brand dedicated to natural skincare products made with plant-based ingredients. The objective was to design a label system for a collection of liquid soaps that would communicate the brand’s commitment to purity, sustainability, and quality while creating a recognizable visual identity across the product range.
The challenge was to balance clean product communication with expressive illustration, allowing each scent to have its own character while maintaining consistency throughout the collection.
Inspiration & Concept
The concept was inspired by the ingredients themselves.
Rather than relying on decorative graphics, each label features original hand-painted watercolor illustrations of the botanicals that define the product. Lavender, eucalyptus, citrus, and other natural elements become the visual language of the brand, helping consumers immediately recognize each variety while reinforcing the authenticity of the ingredients.
The illustrations were intentionally kept light and organic, reflecting the freshness, simplicity, and gentle nature of the products. Together they create a cohesive packaging system that feels natural, inviting, and unmistakably handcrafted.
Creative Approach
The project combines traditional watercolor illustration with contemporary packaging design to create labels that are both informative and emotionally engaging.
Each botanical illustration was painted by hand before being refined for production, preserving the subtle textures and imperfections that give watercolor its distinctive character. Combined with a clean layout, generous white space, and a restrained color palette, the illustrations become the defining feature of the packaging while ensuring clarity and strong shelf recognition.
Beyond the labels themselves, the artwork forms a flexible visual library that can be extended across marketing materials, digital communication, and future product launches, creating a cohesive and recognizable brand experience.
