Packaging and illustration design for the second Adeline Coffee collection, inspired by Italy’s architectural heritage and espresso culture. Hand-drawn illustrations of iconic landmarks transform each coffee package into a visual travel experience, celebrating the atmosphere and identity of Italian espresso while maintaining the clean, contemporary character of the Adeline Coffee brand.
Project Overview
The second Adeline Coffee edition introduced a new visual direction dedicated entirely to Italian espresso.
Rather than focusing on coffee-growing regions, this collection celebrates the places that have shaped Italy’s coffee culture. Each package features an original illustration inspired by a different architectural landmark, creating a series that evokes travel, history, and the timeless ritual of enjoying espresso. While conceptually distinct from previous editions, the collection remains connected to the broader Adeline identity through its minimalist packaging system and illustration-led approach.
Inspiration & Concept
Italian espresso is inseparable from the places where it is enjoyed.
The concept draws inspiration from some of Italy’s most recognizable landmarks, translating architectural details into expressive line illustrations softened with subtle watercolor textures. Rather than depicting tourist destinations, the illustrations capture the atmosphere of wandering through historic streets, allowing each coffee variety to carry a sense of place alongside its flavor.
The result is a collection that connects coffee with memory, travel, and cultural experience.
Design Solution
The packaging combines architectural illustration, restrained typography, and generous white space to create a refined identity that allows each landmark to become the focal point.
The consistent packaging structure maintains strong brand recognition while the individual illustrations differentiate each espresso variety through its own visual story. Together, the collection demonstrates how illustration can communicate not only product origin but also the emotional experience associated with a place.
