Project Summary
Packaging and brand identity for 73 Coffee, developed around the principle of visual restraint. Responding to a brief that called for simplicity, the design uses clean typography, restrained color, and authentic coffee bean photography to create a contemporary identity that communicates quality without unnecessary embellishment.
Project Overview
73 Coffee was developed for a premium coffee brand seeking a clean and honest visual identity that would allow the product itself to become the focal point.
Rather than relying on elaborate graphics or storytelling, the challenge was to express quality through clarity—using a minimal visual language that could extend naturally across packaging, takeaway cups, and branded applications while maintaining strong recognition.
Inspiration & Concept
The concept was inspired by the beauty of freshly roasted coffee beans.
Instead of illustrating coffee culture, the design celebrates the product itself. Generous white space, restrained typography, and carefully placed photography create a calm composition where every element has a clear purpose. A single blue accent introduces recognition across the identity while reinforcing the premium quality of the coffee without overwhelming the overall simplicity.
The result is a visual identity built on confidence rather than decoration.
Design Solution
The identity combines minimalist packaging, authentic product photography, and a flexible branding system that extends beyond the coffee bag.
The same visual language appears consistently across takeaway cups, signage, and promotional applications, demonstrating how a restrained identity can remain distinctive across multiple touchpoints. By reducing the design to only its essential elements, the packaging allows the quality of the coffee to take center stage while creating a memorable and contemporary retail presence.
The final solution demonstrates how thoughtful simplicity can become a powerful branding strategy.
